How listings are vetted

  1. 1

    Start from the record

Public business data from Google Maps and a list of companies gathered by hand.

  2. 2

    Read the website

Each company's own site is read to see what it actually does and for whom.

  3. 3

    Keep industry only

Home, vehicle and consumer services were left out, as were closed businesses.

  4. 4

    Check every change

Claims and corrections are checked by a person before the listing changes.

The list starts from public business data on Google Maps and from a list of companies gathered by hand. Every company that stays was checked against its own website: what it does, which plants it works for and where. Businesses that work only in homes, on vehicles or for private customers were left out, as were closed businesses and duplicates.

The site shows no ratings or reviews. On every page the companies are ordered by how many of the directory's services their own website confirms. Owners can claim their listing for free, and every claim is checked by a person before anything changes. Paid placements are marked as featured wherever they appear.

How to choose an industrial cleaning and maintenance company in Israel

Industrial cleaning and plant maintenance companies rarely do everything. One firm blasts and paints steel, another rewinds motors, a third cleans tanks with vacuum trucks. The first step is to name the job precisely, and then to find the companies that do that kind of work, near you or nationwide.

Start with the service, not the city

Each service page gathers every company in the country that offers it. For specialist work such as laser cleaning, dry ice blasting or non-destructive testing, the right firm may be a long drive away, and many of them travel. For routine work such as pump repair or hydraulic hoses, a workshop close to the plant saves time when something breaks.

Ask how the work will be done

A serious contractor will want to see the site or the item before quoting. Ask which method they propose and why, whether the work happens on site or in their workshop, whether the line has to stop, and what they need from you: power, water, access, a safety escort. Ask what happens to the waste: sludge, used abrasive, wash water and old coatings all have to go somewhere.

Safety rules that shape the job

Some of the work is regulated. Under the Safety at Work Ordinance, a tank or other enclosed space that may hold dangerous fumes may be entered only with suitable breathing apparatus, or after the fumes have been removed and with the person inside wearing a belt tied to a rope held by someone outside. Ask the crew how they will meet that rule before anyone goes in.

The same ordinance sets inspection intervals. A steam boiler is examined by a certified boiler inspector at least once every 14 months, an air receiver at least once every 26 months, and a lifting machine at least once every 14 months. A testing lab or service firm can tell you which of your equipment is due.

Work on electrical installations needs a licensed electrician under the Electricity Law, and dealing in poisons needs a poisons permit from the Ministry of Environmental Protection under the Hazardous Materials Law. If the job touches either, ask the company who on the crew holds the license or permit.

Check the company, not only the price

The directory does not check licenses, certifications or insurance, so ask for them directly. Ask for a written scope that says what is included, which standard the result will meet and how it will be checked. Ask for two or three plants where they have done similar work, and call them. A company that names its customers in your industry, such as food plants, pharmaceutical lines or power stations, has usually met the hygiene and safety demands those sites make.

Plan around shutdowns

Much of this work is done during a planned stop. Book the contractor early, agree the hours and the order of work in writing, and make sure they know who on your side signs off each stage.

Frequently asked questions

How are companies chosen for the directory?

The list starts from public business data and a list gathered by hand. Each company was checked against its own website, and only those that serve factories and industrial sites were kept. Closed businesses, duplicates and home or vehicle services were left out.

Why are there no ratings or reviews?

Industrial contractors usually have few reviews, and a star count says little about work inside a plant. Instead each listing shows which services the company offers on its own website, and companies are ordered by how many services are confirmed.

Do companies work outside their own city?

Many do. Each listing says whether the company works nationwide, and the region pages show every company based in the region. The service pages are worth checking too, since each one gathers every company in the country that offers that service.

How do I add a company or correct a listing?

Owners fill in the claim form. A person checks the details before the listing changes. A basic listing is free.

Does the directory recommend a company?

No. The directory shows what each company does and where, and the choice is yours. Paid placements are marked as featured and do not change any company's details.
