Non-Destructive Testing and Condition Monitoring in Israel

Non-destructive testing checks welds, castings, pressure vessels, pipes and structures for cracks and flaws without damaging them, using ultrasound, magnetic particles, dye penetrant and radiography. Condition monitoring measures vibration, wear and balance on running machines so that a fault shows up before the machine stops.

Some of this is required by law. Under the Safety at Work Ordinance a steam boiler is examined by a certified boiler inspector at least once every 14 months, and an air receiver is cleaned and examined at least once every 26 months.
